Biography
Aaron Rochin worked in sound for American cinema during the late 20th century. Their credited roles involved re-recording and mixing, tasks central to shaping a film’s final audio landscape. In 1989, Rochin served as a Sound Re-Recording Mixer on Dead Poets Society, contributing to the film’s post-production audio assembly. Earlier, in 1984, they held the same position on Red Dawn, handling the layering and balancing of dialogue, effects, and score during final sound assembly. Rochin’s earliest listed credit is Hide in Plain Sight from 1980, where they are credited simply as Sound. These credits indicate consistent involvement in sound post-production across multiple films, focusing on the technical process of mixing and re-recording rather than on-screen performance or direction.
