Biography
Akiyo Okuda is credited as Key Animation on two Studio Ghibli productions. In 2011, Okuda worked on From Up on Poppy Hill in the key animation role, contributing to the film’s visual development and animation sequences. The film, directed by Gorō Miyazaki and produced by Toshio Suzuki, adapts a 1980s Japanese manga and blends traditional animation with detailed backgrounds and character movement.
In 2017, Okuda again served as Key Animation on Mary and the Witch’s Flower, a fantasy film directed by Hiromasa Yonebayashi.
