Anand Bakshi was born on July 21, 1930 in Rawalpindi, Pakistan. Bakshi worked as a lyricist in the Indian film industry, contributing to the soundtracks of several notable films. Their known filmography includes the 1975 film Sholay and the 1977 film Amar Akbar Anthony, both as lyricist. In 1982, Bakshi also worked on the film Vidhaata in the same capacity.
