Born on November 14, 1978 in Texas, Dancy works across film and multimedia as a composer, violinist, keyboardist, and singer. As the founder and president of CYD Music, Dancy operates within the film scoring industry, contributing to the musical landscape of visual media.
Dancy’s filmography includes original music composition for the 2024 film Blink Twice. Additionally, Dancy composed the original score for the 2025 films I Know What You Did Last Summer and One of Them Days. Beyond film work, Dancy is also a member of the rock band Modern Time Machines.
