Biography
Daniel Alderson is credited as Key Animation on the 2009 stop-motion animated feature Fantastic Mr. Fox. The film, based on Roald Dahl’s children’s book, features anthropomorphic animal characters and was directed by Wes Anderson. Alderson contributed to the animation department, which handled the meticulous frame-by-frame process central to the film’s visual style.
Alderson later worked as part of the animation team on The Boxtrolls, a 2014 stop-motion animated film directed by Graham Annable and Anthony Stacchi. The production involved detailed stop-motion techniques to bring the eccentric characters and sets to life. Alderson’s role in these projects reflects involvement in the animation craft during the production of these films.
