Dias Gomes

Dias Gomes was a Brazilian writer active in the film and television industries. Born on October 19, 1922 in Salvador, Bahia, Brazil, Gomes contributed to cinema as a screenwriter. The only film credit on record is the 1959 production É Um Caso de Polícia!, for which Gomes served as writer.

Gomes worked across multiple forms of storytelling, including novels and plays, and was also recognized as a soap opera author. Beyond writing for screen and stage, Gomes held membership in the Brazilian Academy of Letters, reflecting his standing in Brazilian literature. Dias Gomes was married to fellow writer Janete Clair.
