Edward G. Robinson, born Emanuel Goldenberg on December 12, 1893 in Bucharest, Romania, was a prominent figure in the American film industry. Although he played a wide array of characters throughout his career, Robinson is perhaps best remembered for his roles as a gangster, notably in his breakthrough film "Little Caesar." His notable filmography includes "Soylent Green" (1973), in which he portrayed the character of Sol Roth.
