Giger, the artist contributed to cinema through creature design and art direction, applying a distinctive biomechanical aesthetic to visual storytelling. Their work on Alien in 1979 involved designing the film’s iconic extraterrestrial creature, integrating organic and mechanical elements into a nightmarish form that became central to the film’s identity.
