Earlier in their career, Mukherjee provided playback singing for Anand Math in 1952 and served as music director for Jaagrti in 1955. They also worked as an original music composer for Under the Blue Sky in 1959. Mukherjee’s involvement spanned multiple roles within film music, including composition and vocal performance.
