Kawamata's career spans over two decades, with his earliest credited role being the Animation Supervisor for "Cinderella II: Dreams Come True" in 2002. He has since worked on various projects, including serving as Key Animation for "Detective Conan: Quarter of Silence" in 2011. Most recently, Kawamata's work can be seen in the 2022 film "Suzume" as part of the Key Animation team.
