Biography
Hugh Latimer was born on May 12, 1913 in Haslemere, Surrey, England. Latimer appeared in three films during the 1950s, all in minor roles. In The Million Pound Note, released in 1954, Latimer played the Bumbles Hotel Receptionist, a small but visible part in the story. The following year, in Tim Driscoll’s Donkey, Latimer took the credited role of Mr. Marshall, a supporting figure in the narrative.
In 1958, Latimer had an uncredited appearance as a Photographer in The Horse’s Mouth. Though his roles were brief and often background in nature, Latimer’s presence in these productions reflects a consistent presence in mid-century British cinema. The limited surviving records of these credits suggest a career focused on small but necessary contributions to film productions of the time.
