He began his career in the early 1970s and worked on a variety of films throughout his career. Whittaker's work spanned across different genres, from science fiction in "Alien" (1979) to period dramas like "The Razor's Edge" (1984) and "Being Julia" (2004). He also contributed to animated films such as "The Mitchells vs. the Machines" (2021). Whittaker's notable credits also include "The Devils" (1971) and "Dangerous Beauty" (1998). He passed away on October 16, 2022, at the age of 94.
