Born on April 23, 1944 in Lons-le-Saunier, Jura, France, Stévenin began in production roles before taking on screen work. In 1970, Stévenin served as second assistant director on the film Bed and Board. By 1978, Stévenin had moved into writing with Mountain Pass. Later in Stévenin’s career, they appeared as themselves in Juliet Berto, where are you? in 2012.
