Born on August 7, 1972, Aketagawa comes from a family with deep ties to sound design in cinema, as the son of Susumu Aketagawa, a prominent figure in the field. Aketagawa is associated with Magic Capsule, a group involved in audio and visual production.
Aketagawa’s credited filmography includes the 2024 short Playing Tag on a Lucky Safari!? and the POKÉTOON Shorts series, where Aketagawa served as sound director.
