Joel Soisson

Joel Soisson is an American screenwriter and producer born on August 10, 1956 in Los Angeles, California. Working primarily in genre filmmaking, Soisson has contributed to projects across horror and action, often occupying producer and story roles. In 2005, Soisson served as producer on the horror film Feast, a creature feature that became a cult hit among fans of the genre. The same year, Soisson also provided the story for Hellraiser: Hellworld, a direct-to-video installment in the Hellraiser franchise, expanding the mythology of Clive Barker’s horror universe. Earlier in Soisson’s career, they held an executive producer credit on American Yakuza, a 1993 crime drama set in the Japanese underworld.
