John A. Alonzo

John A. Alonzo, born on June 12, 1934, in Dallas, Texas, USA, was a renowned cinematographer known for his work in several notable films. He began his career in the 1960s and gained recognition for his work in the 1971 film "Harold and Maude," where he served as the Director of Photography. Alonzo's skillful camera work was also evident in "Norma Rae" (1979), another film he lensed. One of his most acclaimed works was "Scarface" (1983), a crime drama directed by Brian De Palma. Alonzo's ability to capture the essence of each scene, whether it was a dramatic moment or an intense action sequence, was a testament to his versatility and mastery of his craft. He passed away on March 13, 2001.
