His career began with "Into a Dream" in 2005, where he served as the editor. He continued to hone his skills, working on films like "Exte: Hair Extensions" in 2007 and "Love Exposure" in 2008.
Ito's work gained significant recognition with his collaborations with director Sion Sono. He edited Sono's films "Guilty of Romance" and "Cold Fish," both released in 2011. His partnership with Sono continued with "Why Don't You Play in Hell?" in 2013 and "Tokyo Tribe" in 2014.
