Kouichi Arai, born on June 28, 1961, is a Japanese animator known for his significant contributions to the film industry. Arai's career spans over three decades, marked by his involvement in prominent animated features.
Arai began his journey in the animation field as one of the first trainees at Toei Animation. His early work includes key animation roles in notable productions such as "Dragon Ball Z: The Return of Cooler" (1992) and "Silent Möbius" (1991). As his career progressed, Arai took on more responsibilities, serving as the animation director for the critically acclaimed "Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time" (2021).
