Makoto Fujita was born on April 13, 1933, in Ikebukuro, Toshima, Tokyo, Japan. Fujita worked in the film industry as an actor, appearing in roles that ranged from period dramas to contemporary settings. In 1963, Fujita appeared in The Kingdom of Jirocho 1, a film set in late 19th-century Japan. The following year, Fujita took a supporting role in Youth Season Continued (1964), portraying Arita, the managing director of "Sun Kogyo."
Decades later, Fujita returned to acting in Samurai Justice 2: Mother & Daughter (2005), playing Akiyama Kohei. The film centers on themes of familial duty and justice within a historical context.
