One of Marcelo's earliest credits is as a visual development artist on Brother Bear, released in 2003. This was followed by work on Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs in 2009, where they contributed to the film's visual development. In 2007, Marcelo took on the role of art director for Surf's Up, a stop-motion animated film.
