Biography
Michael Lamont worked in the art department of several notable films across multiple decades. Lamont is credited with art direction on Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, contributing to the visual design of the film's sets and environments. Earlier in their career, Lamont served as a draughtsman on The Shining, preparing technical drawings and plans essential to the construction of the film's sets. They also held the role of assistant art director on Raiders of the Lost Ark, supporting the art department's work on that production. In 1997, Lamont returned to art direction with The Fifth Element, assisting in the creation of the film's distinctive futuristic aesthetic.
