Nora Meerbaum appeared in two American films during the early 1980s. Born on May 13, 1921 in Germany, Meerbaum took small but memorable roles in studio comedies and dramas of that decade. In 1980, she appeared in Airplane! as the Cocaine Lady, a brief but sharply written cameo that has been cited in later discussions of the film’s supporting cast. Her other known credit came in 1985 with St. Elmo's Fire, where she played Myra, another small but distinctive part in a coming-of-age ensemble.
Meerbaum’s screen appearances were limited to these two titles, both released in the United States.
