Paul Lazar

Paul Lazar is an American actor known for his roles in several films. He is particularly recognized for his collaborations with director Jonathan Demme, having appeared in six of his films. Lazar's notable filmography includes his role as Pilcher in the acclaimed thriller "The Silence of the Lambs" (1991), which won multiple Academy Awards, including Best Picture. He also portrayed an American Doctor in the South Korean horror film "The Host" (2006), directed by Bong Joon-ho. In addition to his on-screen work, Lazar has been involved in theater, co-founding Big Dance Theatre and being an associate member of The Wooster Group. Currently, he teaches theater at Harvard.
