Biography
Pauli Pentti was born on April 2, 1958 in Parkano, Finland. Known professionally as Pauli Kaleva Pentti, Pentti worked primarily in film production and direction. Pentti’s early career included roles behind the scenes, such as serving as an assistant director on the 1988 film Ariel. Prior to that, Pentti worked as a location manager for the 1981 film The Saimaa Gesture.
Pentti’s involvement in cinema extended beyond directing, as Pentti also contributed to scripting, lighting design, and acting in various productions. Pentti collaborated with the Kaurismäki brothers for an extended period, working closely with them in roles that supported their filmmaking process.
