Pierre Brice was born on February 6, 1929 in Brest, Finistère, France. Brice appeared in three films in the 1960s, all part of the Winnetou series, a set of German Westerns based on Karl May’s novels. In Treasure of Silver Lake, released in 1962, Brice portrayed Winnetou, the noble Apache chief. The role became closely associated with Brice’s career during this period.
In Frontier Hellcat, released in 1964, Brice again played Winnetou, continuing the character’s development across the trilogy. The film was part of a wave of European Westerns that gained popularity in the 1960s. Brice’s portrayal contributed to the series’ distinctive blend of adventure and cultural representation.
