Robert Jiras

Robert Jiras was born on July 28, 1922 in Dauphin, Pennsylvania, USA. Working in the film industry as a makeup artist, Jiras contributed to the visual transformation of characters in notable productions. Among these was the 1957 film A Face in the Crowd, where Jiras handled makeup duties to help shape the film’s characters.

Jiras later worked on Simon, released in 1980, continuing in the makeup department to support the film’s production. In 1981, Jiras again served as makeup artist on Prince of the City, contributing to the film’s realistic portrayal of its setting and characters. Throughout these projects, Jiras operated behind the scenes, applying makeup techniques to enhance the appearance of actors within the films.
