Biography
Shaunak Sen is a filmmaker based in Delhi whose work centers on documentary filmmaking. Their first feature-length documentary, Cities of Sleep, premiered internationally and received recognition at multiple major film festivals. The film went on to win six documentary awards, establishing Sen’s presence in the non-fiction genre.
Sen has been the recipient of several grants supporting documentary projects, including the IDFA Bertha Fund, the Sundance Documentary Grant, the Catapult Film Fund, and the Gucci Tribeca Documentary Fund. These grants reflect the industry’s acknowledgment of their contributions to documentary cinema.
