Shigeru Umebayashi is a composer known for work in the film industry. Born on February 19, 1951 in Kitakyushu, Fukuoka Prefecture, Japan, Umebayashi has contributed original music to notable films. In 2006, Umebayashi composed the original score for Curse of the Golden Flower. Later, in 2013, Umebayashi provided original music for The Grandmaster.
