Shigeto Miki, born on December 26, 1902, in Ehime, Japan, was a renowned cinematographer in the Japanese film industry. Initially credited as Miki Minoru, he later adopted the name Miki Shigeto, under which he gained prominence. Miki's career spanned several decades, with his work predominantly focused on the camera department.
Miki's filmography includes notable works such as "Fencing Master" in 1950, where he served as the Director of Photography. He continued to make significant contributions to Japanese cinema, notably with his work on the "Yakuza of Ina" in 1960 and the "The Kingdom of Jirocho" series, including parts 1 and 2, released in 1963. His expertise in cinematography was instrumental in shaping the visual narrative of these films.
