Biography
Soviet Agoyan worked in the film industry as a production designer. Born on March 14, 1924, Agoyan contributed to the visual construction of films through set design and art direction. The earliest recorded credit is from 1961, when Agoyan served as production designer for The Steamroller and the Violin. The film’s production design would have involved creating environments that support the narrative, including sets, props, and overall aesthetic choices.
Decades later, Agoyan returned to production design with A Canary Cage, released in 1983. In this role, Agoyan was responsible for shaping the film’s visual identity through constructed spaces and design elements. The two credited works represent Agoyan’s involvement in the craft of production design within cinema.
