Biography
Steve F.B. Smith is credited as a Dolby Consultant in three feature films. In Hook, released in 1991, Smith worked on the audio post-production process, advising on the implementation of Dolby sound systems to enhance the film’s immersive soundtrack. The following year, Smith provided similar services for Article 99, contributing to the film’s audio presentation through Dolby’s surround-sound technology.
In 2016, Smith returned to Dolby Consulting for Nine Lives, assisting with the film’s audio design to ensure clarity and spatial accuracy in its sound mix. The role involves collaboration with sound engineers and editors to optimize the use of Dolby’s formats, ensuring the final mix aligns with the intended theatrical experience.
