Steven E. de Souza, born on November 17, 1947, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, is an American screenwriter known for his work in action, adventure, and comedy genres. He began his career in the early 1980s, contributing to the script of the iconic buddy cop film "48 Hrs." (1982), starring Eddie Murphy and Nick Nolte.
De Souza's work gained significant recognition in the late 1980s and 1990s. He wrote the screenplay for the classic action film "Die Hard" (1988), featuring Bruce Willis, which became a massive success and spawned several sequels.
