Takumi Tanji

Takumi Tanji, a prominent figure in the film industry, was born in Fukushima, Japan. Tanji's career in cinema spans over two decades, with their first credit in the art department of Kiyoshi Kurosawa's "Cure" in 1997. They continued to work behind the scenes, contributing to films like "French Dressing" in 1998 and making an uncredited appearance in "Pulse" in 2001 as a Man with Bag. Tanji's role evolved over time, taking on the position of Background Designer for Makoto Shinkai's "Your Name." in 2016. More recently, they served as the Art Director for Shinkai's "Suzume" in 2022, showcasing their versatility and growth within the industry.
