Thelma Reston was born on July 6, 1937 in Piracanjuba, Goiás, Brazil. Reston worked across Brazilian film and television, with a presence in both acting and related roles. In 1967, Reston appeared as Self in the documentary Improvised and Purposeful: Cinema Novo, reflecting on the emerging movement in Brazilian cinema. That same year, Reston took a supporting role in El Justicero, a feature-length film.
Reston’s later work included appearances in two films released in 1988 and 1990. In The Goofy Heroes: An Adventure in the Jungle, Reston played a pensionista cobradora do Dedé, a character role within the ensemble adventure.
