Vasiliy Rakhals

Vasiliy Rakhals was born on January 1, 1890, and worked in the film industry as an art director and production designer. In 1927, Rakhals served as production designer for the film Bed and Sofa, contributing to the film’s visual construction. The role involved shaping the spatial and aesthetic elements of the production, aligning sets and environments with the film’s narrative requirements.

In 1939, Rakhals held the position of assistant art director for Stepan Razin. In this capacity, Rakhals supported the principal art department in executing design plans, ensuring consistency in the film’s visual presentation. The work reflected a collaborative approach to film production, where multiple roles contributed to the final look of the film.
