Eimei Esumi appeared in two Japanese films during the late 1960s and early 1970s. Born on October 5, 1935 in Shimane Prefecture, Eimei Esumi is credited with small but distinct roles in notable productions. In 1966, Eimei Esumi portrayed Otsuka in Tokyo Drifter, a stylized yakuza film directed by Seijun Suzuki. The film’s blend of neon-lit action and surreal visuals provided a platform for supporting actors to contribute brief but memorable character moments, and Eimei Esumi’s appearance as Otsuka fits within that pattern.
