Fred Kohler Jr.

Fred Kohler Jr. was born in Los Angeles, California, on July 8, 1912. Active in the film industry, Kohler appeared in roles that spanned different genres over several decades. In 1936, Kohler took on a supporting part as the Robot in the adventure serial Flash Gordon, contributing to the film’s science-fiction atmosphere through a mechanical performance.

Later in their career, Kohler appeared in the 1959 Western Alias Jesse James as a James Gang Member, a brief but recognizable part in a comedy-western. Decades afterward, Kohler returned to film with a role in the 1977 horror film Ruby, portraying Jake Miller. The film’s cast included appearances by established names, with Kohler’s performance marking one of their final credited roles.
