Momoko Kôchi was born on March 7, 1932 in Tokyo, Japan. Kôchi appeared in three films during her career, beginning with The Mysterians in 1957 where she played Hiroko Iwamoto. Her most recognized role came in Godzilla, released in 1977, as Emiko Yamane. The character of Emiko Yamane was a recurring figure in the Godzilla series, and Kôchi portrayed the role again in Crimson Lotus in 1993. Her work in these films contributed to her presence in Japanese cinema during the mid-to-late 20th century.
