Gen Kimura was born on February 7, 1937, in Osaka, Japan. Their involvement in film began in the late 1950s, with early appearances in two features from 1960 and 1961. In The Blind Menace, released in 1960, Kimura took on a credited role, contributing to the production as part of the cast. The following year, they appeared in The Gambler's Code, further establishing their presence in the industry during that era.
Decades later, Kimura returned to film work in 2005 with a role in Samurai Justice 2: Mother & Daughter. In this sequel, they portrayed the character Choji, a supporting figure within the narrative. The appearance marked one of their final known credits in cinema, closing a span of activity that crossed multiple generations of Japanese filmmaking.
